R. Philip Roberson

I am the lab manager for the Department of Earth Sciences at Tennessee Tech University. I teach and coordinate introductory geology lab courses, manage/curate Earth Science Department collections, and oversee all prep lab spaces.

My research integrates stratigraphic and sedimentological principles with paleobiological data to reconstruct depositional environments, paleoecological dynamics, and biostratigraphy.

In addition to my primary research, I am also interested in applying facies modeling to extraterrestrial environments, such as the Lunar south pole, and in improving Geoscience education.
