Research
Waulsortian Mounds
This project studies the stratigraphy and paleoecology of a Waulsortian-like mound found in the Mississippian rocks of Middle Tennessee.
3D Outcrop Reconstruction
We are combining field observations, traditional analytical methods, and large geospatial datasets with UAV imagery to create detailed three-dimensional digital outcrop models. These models are used for the reconstruction of sedimentary basins, paleoecology, and the preservation of geological heritage.
Astarte Geometric Morphometrics
This project used geometric morphometrics and multivariate statistics to examine ecophenotypic variations within the bivalve genus Astarte.
Lunar Facies Models
We are creating generalized facies models for the Lunar surface and rendering them using the free 3D software Blender. These models can be used to further understand the Lunar surface in preparation for the upcoming Artemis missions.
